In Pakistan, over 2.1 million people work in brick kilns. Entire families are enslaved by illegal debts that pass from father to son.
The Reality of Bondage
- • 14+ Hour Days: Men, women, and children labor under the scorching sun for pennies, often with no clean water.
- • No Way Out: Illiterate and isolated, they cannot calculate their own debt, which kiln owners arbitrarily increase.
- • Stolen Childhoods: Children are born into debt. Instead of holding a book, their small hands mold clay until they bleed.
